9315 bracelet verification repost!

Hi,
reposting better pictures of my 9315 for verification. Had it for many years but I see it doesn't have the "Patent Pending" error on it so wondering if it's missing some parts or some other reasons for that. It has been restored/tightened by MY in Hong Kong years ago as the links were stretched, was happy with the results.

Thanks

Looks good. MY would have brought a fake to your attention. What you’re looking for is on the dive extension folding link that is in the clasp. Pull it out.

Oh, didn’t think about that, will look there, thanks

Yanked at the folding link in the dive extension and found it, thanks!

I wonder who did the quality check that resulted in the famous mis-spelling "Pateted."

Good question, supposedly as it was under the clasp no one bothered till a few years later, unthinkable today:)

Undoubtedly a language issue. Before this they had used the French BREVET. With no spell check, I’m sure it was much easy for non-native English speakers to miss this small typo - even through to production.

Before PATETED, they used PAT PEND, so it was probably done on the fly when the patent finally came through. Add a few letters and…oops.

Meant to say the brevet was the word Rolex used elsewhere, of course. Not on the dive extension.

True, very likely!
