Declined a call

My AD called and to my surprise had a Daydate 40 RG white dial, which I love! Unfortunately I just picked up my first AP RO 2 weeks back so felt it would be unwise to purchase with this quick of a turnaround.

Oh well! It will have to wait until 2024.

Hope it doesn’t hurt my ability to get allocations in the future

Were you completely open with the SA and explain you just got an AP?

It shows some depth in your collection so I think it can only play in your favor.

Makes sense now that they're not over MSRP anymore...

I got a call recently from an ADcsaying he was close to obtaining the new 18k GMT with jubilee. He was honest in that he mentioned the 1st one went to someone with a longer spend history.

I told him I was no longer in any rush to obtain it since I am looking at APs or if available Pateks.

I think it's a step in the right direction that Rolex ADs are made aware that there are other options.

It definitely makes sense to buy when it suits you and hopefully you get that call again down the line

Quite surprised that this watch isn't more popular than it is today. Currently trading about 10 % above retail in the greys and I am guessing part of it is due to it being a newer reference

Can definitely see this dropping down to retail levels soon and this means it will be able to be picked up easier at the ads

10% bellow MSRP this time next year for any two tone GMT. Classifieds in Europe are full of these references at close to retail with no one buying them for months.
