Broken second pinion in second hand

I've seem to broken a part of my second piston off into the shaft of the second hand while removing the hands off a speedking.

The movement is a 1210, i've noticed that the second pinion for the 1530 is very similar to size with some sellers saying it may work. Does anyone know if they are interchangable?

What would be the best way to get the broken piece removed from the hand? I have watch putty ordered and I was going to order mirco drill bits.

Any info or tips would be great.

Many thanks

I'm sure I've got a sweep pinion.
