A not-so-perfect 1675

hey everyone, just wanted to thank the forum for the help the past couple months.

Have been scouring for a nice 1675 and finally pulled the trigger on this one. Original tritium dial and hands, albeit a slightly soft case and needed a new crystal and the original bracelet but I love it. Realized that sourcing these things can be quite the adventure. Also found an insert locally that caught my eye and had to get that too. Thanks to everyone who made this happen.

Unsure why you say “not so great”. Be proud of what you’ve got! It’s a special watch and looks good.

That's a lovely example! Great patina, really like the dial and hands. For me; most of the fun is in sourcing the parts and 'playing' with the look.

Watch is a great example of a vintage 1675 GMT. You scored well on the fat font insert. Congrats.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, I think where I was going with this post was that vintage watches don’t need to be perfect. Saw this watch, likes the patina and dial a lot and grew to become okay with a slightly soft case. Thank you TRF!

Instead of not so perfect I’d say nearly perfect. Very nice.

Appears to be a nice, above average GMT - with a correct, super fat font insert too. Very nice indeed.
