What is the serial? 61 seems a bit early for T SWISS T. Could be a service dial, but very attractive in any case.

Looks like much later incorrect style hands, but that is not a surprise as I don’t think Rolex offer Gold Hands as a parts / Service option anymore for the 6694 or 6426 Precision models. Rolex probably wouldn’t service it because it doesn’t have the correct hands or a good condition correct Rolex bracelet on it, but a local independent watchmaker could service it & get that looking lovely for you with a new Plexiglass Crystal and a light case polish. Plenty of options out there for inexpensive but good replica 19mm Oyster or Jubilee Bracelets / custom End Links with leather straps.
What is the movement / Calibre Ref out of interest 1215 or the later 1225? |

I believe the movement calibre is the 1215, what style model hands would you say it has? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

1215 movement is another reason you wouldn’t get it serviced by Rolex. They would charge about £2000 for servicing a 1215 as it is classed as Vintage but they only charge about £700 for a watch with a 1225 movement. I’m sure a local watchmaker will get that looking great again for you. |

Well, as I mentioned, the serial number would help if you care to share it.

Dial n hands (post 63) or caseback swapped as stated. Gilt writing dial is nice as is the crown and datewheel ... $1500 head or thereabouts I'd say. Not much fake stuff at 6694/6426 I've found. The indents from end links show it's been on 7205/7835 19mm bracelet most of its life. Get the toothpaste or the like out on the plexi it will come up well after 30 mins if the bit between 1 and 2 isn't a crack. My watchmaker charges circa £250 or so for a manual service on a 6426/6694.

6694s are in such abundance that parts get swapped often. Not a big deal since parts can be found easily

Yes, for 1961 it should be the 1215 movement, Dauphine hands and a dial with arrowhead, or pointed hour markers to go with the dauphine hands or a combination of. Should just say SWISS at the bottom.

This is a good article on the 1200 to 1225 series of movements: https://mitka.co.uk/2021/11/10/rolex...0-2025-review/ |
