Anyone know the history of the black tapestry dial?

Does anyone know or have any info about the history of the black tapestry dials? I’ve been looking into buying a 16013 from 1986 with a black tapestry dial and have been trying to make sure it’s real, but it seems like there’s a lot of slight variations on the black tapestry dial (ie some say swiss made on the bottom, some say T swiss made T, some say T swiss T; and also have variations around the dial on if it’s just tick marks or other markings). Any knowledge is greatly appreciated!!

The best thing to do is post large clear pics. Tapestry dials have been around for a very long time with many different variations among a few dial makers

I haven’t personally seen any* outright fake tapestry dials (at least not in DD versions), but presumably repaints are possible. As mentioned above, post some sharp, well lit pics of the dial (macro if possible).

One thing you can check with a loupe is that “overlaid” on tapestry dials’ vertical ridges there are much smaller, concentric ridges, as seen in the pic attached.
