Up until the early 1980’s boxers like Ali had 15 rounds in a bout. Due to serious safety concerns this was then changed to what we know now being 12 rounds bouts. As this is a tribute to Ali it has the period correct 15 rounds of 3 minutes with 1 minute breaks and these can be timed on the outer red ring and operated by the second crown at 10pm. The inner track showing 2 minute rounds was for amateur bouts. Muhammad Ali’s signature can be found at the bottom of the dial, complemented by a special engraving of the legend on the caseback.
