would you do this trade?

Got offered a black daytona (116500) and a lange & sohne saxonia old model 37mm for my AP 15550 royal oak.

the 37mm royal oak fits me well but I think a 15300 would be a better fit.
I've been wanting a black daytona so it's appealing to me.
I have a bunch of other rolexes so I do lose my only AP.

thoughts on the trade?

I traded an AP for a Daytona and regret it every day. So no I wouldn’t. Keep the AP.

Not fan of any of the RO range, and admit not a huge fan of the modern day Daytona in any form, but I would do that trade.

For me yes, but that's only because a 37mm would wear small on me. If it was a 40mm RO, absolutely not.

So, I think you have an AP-RO 15450. I would keep it. They are too hard to replace.

Doesn’t look like much of a bad deal for me. I would trade it IMO considering the time piece looks good and resale value wouldn’t be a scare.

it's the 15550 with the 50th rotor in the back. so even harder to repalce. lol

this is the biggest thing for me. if the royal oak was 39mm like a 15300 or 41mm like the 15400 or 15500 i would keep the royal oak.

It is a 50th anniversary though so it's hard to let it go.

Tough one. AP trading so poorly now.

However a 50 anniversary vs a mass produced daytona…..

I don’t think I would….

I think I would keep the RO *only* because it's the 15550ST which, IMO, is the best one out there. New movement, perfect size. I am unabashedly not a Daytona fan & I think that if you really wanted a Saxonia later, you may be able to find one for a good price.
