FS: Audemars Piguet Dress Watch from early 80s untouched condition

Up for sale is an untouched example of an early dress piece from AP. It maintains an interesting dial pattern as well as a cool integrated woven bracelet. The octagonal pattern is clearly derivative from the Royal Oak and serves as an excellent reminder of their early dress watches. It measures diagonally at around 35-36mm and it's extremely thin (between 5-6mm) especially considering it's an automatic mechanical watch. Watch is a one owner watch (relative) that's sat in the drawers for many years without wear/service. So other than the slight damage to a part of the integrated bracelet (does not affect functionality and wear) the watch is in fine condition.

Watch is in untouched/good condition overall with no noticeable dents or heavy scratches. The only thing that can be seen is the damage to one of the ends of the integrated woven bracelet that my watchmaker advises can be fixed by a competent jeweler. The way the gold oxidized over time has given it excellent natural patina and the dial is completely preserved. The movement looks super clean and doesn't appear to be serviced ever per my watchmaker, completely preserved and is beautiful to admire being so thin.

Watch is being sold as watch only. Owner has no idea where the accessories are by now over the last 40-50 years.














I am asking for $8,500 to me via wire/direct transfer. Definitely a rare bird as you can't even find it on the internet (hence I have no idea what model number this is without requesting an extract from AP).

I am located in San Diego but willing to travel reasonable distances in the LA/Orange County Area at secure locations. I will not do a face to face unless I know you (or through heavy references through mutual friends/other trusted sellers) without securing funds first. If you want the watch shipped I only ship via Fedex next day insured via Parcel Pro. This can be provided as shipping cost or you can provide the shipping label.
