Choosing a Pam

I have been looking a lot lately at Pams. I believe the watch for me is the 244. As luck would have it, an AD near me has one in the case. I tried it on, and heard singing.

Sticker price was $7100. I got them to offer me a 10% discount, but no more. I said thanks but no thanks and bid farewell.

Is that a good price/discount for this watch? I know with Rolex I would scoff at a measley 10% discount in this economy, so I did the same with the Pam. Am I expecting too much?

Used for this piece is $4500 round about. It isn't as popular due to its size. It's brother the 88 keeps it value a little better.

10% is decent. My AD recently offered me 15% off a 112. What are you thinking of? 20% is pretty much the most I've ever heard off for a low end piece (aka not gold,Pt)

Also, the AD in STL has the 244 as well. You can call them.

Sorry, but which AD are you referring to?

In STL, there is only one. Simon's. It is on the panerai website.

Thanks for the heads up. I called them and right out of the box they offered me a better price, roughly 12% off. They did say that was the offering price, and that they don't haggle it further.
