Nice choice! Possibly chosen as a nod to Japan where he grew up and began his baseball career. He could’ve picked something MUCH more expensive given his pay raise.

Especially in regards to where he's from in Japan/Iwate. GS clearly resonates with him as he's not a things type of guy. Great taste and a good dude from what I've seen so far.... Even if I don't care for baseball.

Hi Janet, no I don't own anything shown except the brochure on the table, which I picked up with some others a few years ago in Japan somewhere. I also took the Kansai airport photo, but more for the GS ad than the Ohtani. You can see Seiko/Ohtani ads and billboards all over the country, from the moment you arrive.
