Acrylic glass replacement

As this is my first post on here, I would like to start by saying hi to you all.!

My interest in Rolex & Tudor watches goes back many years, ever since I bought my first Rolex back in 1989. That was an Oysterdate Precision & it cost me £495 brand new from my local authorised dealer in Salisbury, UK (Zales, long since disappeared). There was none of this 'leave a note of interest in the model you would like & we may get back in touch in 12-18 months time' nonsense back then. You just ordered the model in the colour you wanted & went back to pick it up a week or two later! Anyway, that's how my Rolex story began....

So, fast forward to today. I own a 1969 Tudor Date + Day 1707/0 which I want to replace the acrylic glass on due to crazing on the original which won't polish out. I've had a look at several tutorial videos & I'm confident that I can do this myself. Am I correct in saying that these acrylic crystal models don't have a separate gasket under the crystal, unlike later sapphire models which do?

Many thanks.
