Interesting find
Hello all,
Just got this Seamaster from early 70’s, this was my dad’s watch. I am amazed at the level of detail for a 50 year old watch, with its applied indices, well before the Rolex sport models, dark blue sunburst dial, multicoloured hand and the useful 24 hours sundial. It has been serviced amazingly every 20+ years, the last time was 10 years ago and it still keeps good time with +5 sec/day. This is model 176.010 known as “Yachting“ as it has the countdown for 15 mins on the rehaut. The interesting fact is that this model has usually the 1040 movement which is the first automatic Chronograph for Omega, but this watch has the 1041 movement which was a very limited production. Identified by the red hand at 6 o’clock. The difference between the 1040 and 1041 is just at the rotor system, the latter has it improved with gearing and a heavier rotor which gives it a better winding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

very nice. Prefer your one to the Heuer Skipper versions. A bit more subtle.

That's a very cool heirloom! Congrats on such a fine piece.
That's the style of Omega that Clint Eastwood wore in The Bridges of Madison County. I always thought it was a Speedy, but this link gets to it down at the bottom. https://omegaforums.net/threads/wakm...d-info.109812/

This is a sweet watch, I really like it! Vintage Omega's are so appealing to me.
