Does anyone know, if the current 116713 GMT-II C TT is supposed to have blue lume as the SS ?
Thank you .

depends on the year it was purchased. I believe, on the GMTc, they switched over to blue around mid to late 2013.

I bought a SS GMT-C ll in September 2012 and it had a green lume. Flipped it in November 2015 for a BLNR which is blue.
Sometimes the blue can be deceiving. I thought my 2015 YM was green until I took a photo. In the photo it's a definite blue.

The first 116713 I owned had green lume and it did not have a random serial and it was used and didn't have the warranty card. I flipped it awhile back and recently bought a new one it has blue lume and small date cyclops the card was dated Nov, 2015

Can you show pictures of the blue lume? I bought a 116710 with an random serial number, I'd describe the lume as much more green rather than blue. Is it the same blue as on the deep sea with the unmistakable blue?
Mines definitely blue green |

Looks blue to me but I have to admit I'm stumped with the new blue lume. At least for mine, it's not as green as the lips lume but more a blue/green than blue for sure.

The 116713 started with green lume then switched to the blue Chromalight 2-3 years ago. Chromalight ws introduced in late 2008 on the DSSD I believe, but IIRC it was about 2-3 years ago that the GMT transitioned to it. Since both G serials and randoms were running concurrently during the period when they switched it is my understanding that these two serials may have either. My G serial 116713 happens to have green lume, purchased 2-3 years ago. Any other serial would be previous and therefore should probably have green lume.

Please don't confuse the lume color of the TT with the SS.
We know the SS has transitioned to Blue lume. But has the TT transitioned also?

Not sure how long you exposed it to light. It seems the longer its exposed to light the more blue the lume looks.
On the GMT that I flipped with the green lume, I thought it went well with the green 24 hour hand and green lettering on dial.

Sorry if this is an old thread but has the TT gmt transitioned to blue lume? If yes which year? I'm looking to buy one pre-owned. A friend told me I should get at least 2015 and above if I want the blue lume. Is this correct?

I did not know it was blue when i bought my LVC until i bought a BLNR and had them side by side.
Up against a green dial it's harder to tell. |
