How often does you clean your Rolex?

Hello everyone,

Every time after a sunny day outside, i tend to wash my watch under the tap and use a microfiber cloth to dry it. I can't stand those finger prints that was on the sapphire crystal to dull the look so i use the microfiber cloth to wipe it off as well.

I'm not sure will this caused hairline scratches after sometime on the crystal even though i know it is sapphire.

So back to the thread, how often does you clean your Rolex? And do you see hairline scratch mark after been having too much care on your Rolex like me

Cheers guys and enjoy the lovely weekend!

OK, keep in mind I was young and a bachelor at the time but I used to brush my sub after brushing my teeth at night. Yup, Crest toothpaste and the same brush! I figured if it is delicate enough for my teeth and gets between the gaps then.............

Every morning before I use them. I wipe it clean with a microfiber towel. I wet it a little, wipe the bracelet and case then use the dry side and re-wipe it again.

X2 -- I'm very anal that way. Microfiber is 100x thinner than human hair and is fantastic on watches. I recently gave my AD one to try out and they had to call all their associates to the counter to see what a fantastic job it did. I now go into the store and see the cloth sitting on the counter waiting for the next watch to appear.

Approx every 3-4 weeks of wear (or as soon as I see any build up of dirt between the links).

Every 3 months. I boil some water, add a few drops of dishwashing soap. Let the bracelets suspend in the water for a while. Then use a baby toothbrush to scrub them clean. I rinse off the case and the crystal, but don't soak them.

That's about it.

Not so far is nearly a year. I've never really cleaned any watch I've had, other than submerging in pool/bath occasionally.

Every other week. It's important to keep the link pins and holes clean, especially if your band is SG or TT. The grime will act as a grinding compound and it will wear out your links making them loose and sloppy.

Mine gets a bath every Sunday. I use a mild hand soap and soft bristle tooth brush. I'm always amazed how much better it looks.

2-3x a week. It is very humid here right now, so if I have been out in the heat for a while I will do a quick rinse with a delicate facial soap and water, then dry. I haven't had to do any sort of "deep" cleaning yet.

Every week or so I give it a little rub down, then I suppose around every 6-8 weeks I take off the bracelet and give it a full wash

I clean it pretty regularly

I will wash it off and wipe it if it gets wet in the ocean or other water or if it is hot and sweaty outside. On top of that depending on how it looks; at least once a year I take off the bracelet, completely disassemble it and clean each part by wiping it down and ultrasonically cleaning it. Then I assemble it using locktite on all the threads. I may also remove the bezel and clean all the areas under it.
