WG GMT or PM Skydweller?

Both have gmt functions. Going back and forth between a WG GMT vs a full YG or RG Skydweller. If a Skydweller leaning towards either a YG white dial or RG slate dial. Thoughts?

I have both. They’re really different. Almost as far different as you go in terms of the “feel of wearing”

Wouldn’t want to put them against each other for those reasons..

Generally speaking, for me a PM GMT is the most comfortable PM watch you can buy.

The SKydweller (mine is YG) is about as brash and bold as they come. It’s heavy and it’s big, maybe too big for some keep that in mind :)

I've tried the RG Sky Dweller. It didn't suit me. I'm waiting for a 19BLRO. I've never met a Sky Dweller I didn't love but they don't all look good on me. Purely personal, eye of the beholder and all that. Nice "problem" to have to deal with.

I love my WG GMT. It’s my daily wearer.

The watches you’re considering look very different from each other and wear differently … so if you have the opportunity to try each one on, hopefully one immediately jumps out as a much have. At
this price point, you need to unconditionally love the watch.

Very nice dilemma. SkyD for me, classy but sporty. Goes with every attire.
GMT and annual calendar and the way Rolex executed this is really beautiful.

It’s slightly bigger but due to the case profile with its lugs and rounded profile easily wearable without over hang also for the smallest of wrists imho.
This is the sundust dial with very poor legibility, your proposed slate dial is no slough either and certainly more clear to read.

WG GMT is a beautiful sports watch. Love to own it but imho the CHNR is the prettiest GMT there is

Rose gold, dark rhodium dialed sky-dweller is the most beautiful Rolex I have ever seen. Not as photogenic as some, but on the wrist it is just magical.

X2 this. This combo is one of the best looking and I wish there were more offerings in rose/dark rhodium

The sky dweller is pointless, who forgets what month it is and needs to track on a wrist watch?

I would go WG GMT. Full gold skydwellers are really heavy.

If you don't have a GMT, get the GMT. Or, get the skydweller now and a nice 4, 5 digit GMT in the future.

Patek seem to have done ok creating and selling annual calendars since 1996.

It would be the WG GMT for me. While I love the calendar complication of the Sky-D, I find the 24 hour subdial makes the dial look cluttered and the watch is just too big and heavy for me.

GMT for me as well. I love the SkyD movement but its size and weight wouldn’t work for my wrist and I like the sportier look of the GMT.

I keep forgetting about the newer full YG GMT on jubilee. Definitely my favorite GMT that doesn’t come with a meteorite dial.

I have owned both and would not buy either again. The WG GMT is too similar to the SS GMT and can typically can be had for about half the price. The Sky-Dweller is a massive watch and the PM version to me is boarder line unwearable as a daily. I have a 7.5-7.75 inch wrist and I am saying that. A lot of value in the Submariner and DD lineups right now. That is where I would go.
