For sale is a pre-owned very good vintage condition 42mm stainless steel Omega Speedmaster Professional. The sale of this reference 145.022 is for the watch only. It does not include an original box or papers. This timepiece has a 39,XXX,XXX serial number which dates production to approximately 1976. The watch features white pencil hands against a matte black “T Swiss Made T,” dial. The dial has three sub dials at three, six, and nine. The sub dial at nine o’clock displays the seconds. The sub dials at three and six are part of the chronograph function and display a 30-minute scale and 12-hour counter respectively. The dial features tritium stick hour markers. The hour, minute, and central chronograph second hand also feature tritium lume. The lume has taken on a lovely patina that appears to be uniform throughout the timepiece. Surrounding the dial is a stainless steel bezel with a black aluminum tachymetre insert. The bezel displays wear commensurate with the age of this vintage timepiece. There are some dings in the black finish of the bezel insert. The stainless steel case and bracelet also display wear. They both have some typical dings and scratches present. This watch is likely to have been polished previously. However, to maintain a consistent vintage patina, we have not had this timepiece refinished. The bracelet does have stretch present. I would rate the bracelet at 70% or better. The watch is currently configured with one removable link and will accommodate a wrist circumference of up to eight inches. Overall, the watch remains in very good vintage condition and faces up beautifully. Both chronograph pushers engage and reset with excellent feedback. Powering the Omega is a manually wound 861 movement with approximately 48 hours of power reserve.
