Rolex AD at the Atlantis in The Bahamas

They have 5 two tone blue face subs and won't sell any of them. I said you really need 5 of the exact same model for exhibition pieces?

Anyways I checked every day during my stay and there was nothing available for sale they said there's a long list for practically every piece

I agree it's not surprising there's nothing for sale but it's the first time I've seen so many of the exact same piece just sitting

Are they selling rolex only? Otherwise they certainly need a "incentive" to let the pieces go. They also have in some shops an obligation to keep a certain number of watches (even if all the same)

That's weird, five of the same piece? Maybe they're waiting for the next price increase to sell?

It's a Rolex store so yes they only sell Rolex

They said it's because they're required to have "X" amount of pieces on display but you'd think they'd have more of a variety instead of 5 identical watches

OK then they are probably subject to the mandatory X watches in the shop (usually 25 but this may vary). Sometimes with the same model and a bunch of ladies or goldish watches which are not selling that well.

I stopped by every day on my last two trips in 2023 and 2022 and had no luck. Stopped in this week when I arrived to town and pointed out the grey black GMTs (TT and all gold), they took my name and number. Two days later got a call for the TT. As everywhere, most models already have a list and I believe they give ppl a week + to fly in and pick up so while they await pickup they sit on display. It’s annoying but it is better than seeing empty showcases. It does seem unappealing to those that don’t know the Rolex game, but at the same time it’s what keeps us wanting them. Rolex knows what they’re doing

Either already sold, or waiting for some shooter to buy all 5 for their crew to wear. Island shops are so weird, some seem to love surprising a walk in, others seem to never sell a single watch to anyone.

Last summer at Tourneau in Honolulu, they had I think 3-4 Submariner date with black bezel on exhibition.

They are obligated to keep stock on store, this why they are not selling.

It's actually the same store as the one across the hall with multiple brand booths; so technically, multi-brand store.

Maybe they require a customer to buy 5 x 31mm Datejusts as a bundle with one Bluesy.

That's what they told me also once they call you about a piece you inquired about they give you 7 days to come back to pick it up congrats on actually getting a call 2 days later I go to Atlantis at least 2-3x a year and I stop in every day while I'm there and I've never had any luck yet.
