T SWISS T on Submariner Dial?

Hello!

Has anyone ever seen this before? I can't find a single one.

Am looking at a watch from reputable dealer, but this dial has me concerned.

Pic below. The minute line in between T and SWISS is also off. If anyone can help me out that'd be great. Thanks in advance!!

Download the Tapatalk app on your apple device and then sign into your TRF account and post photos that way. Very easy after you have that app.

Rolex used T.Swiss.T less than 277 MBq (7.5mCi) and Swiss <T25 less than925 MBq (25mCi) on there dials depending on how much radioactivity they had from 1960s till mid/late 1998.

And, occasionally a combo of both that say T Swiss-T<25. No idea what that means in terms of radioactivity though.

Actually even the app wouldn't let me post the pic yet.. should be able to soon though.

From what I've read online T SWISS T was only on dress dials. But y'all think it may be possible to be on a Sub dial too?

Will post the pic shortly.

I’ve read T SWISS T was only on dress dials. So y’all think it’s possible this could be a legitimate one on a Sub?

The dial or the watch itself? This dealer is pretty legit, so I’d be shocked if the entire watch was fake, but I agree something doesn’t look quite right.

Yeah that was my fear as well. Best to play it safe and avoid this one if that's a risk!

The dial is definitely fake. If the dial is fake then I would not put high hopes for the rest of the watch. Stay clear of this watch and the dealer.

I agree. The dial is 100% refinished, fake or whatever you wan to call it. The style of coronet never graced any Submariner that I am familiar with. Also, the printing appears silver, not white as it should be - and let's not forget the "swiss t swiss" being incorrect.

Why don’t you just tell us who the dealer is? I’m not sure how “legit” they can be selling a fake watch.

Appreciate everyone’s help! I knew it simply didn’t look right. I’ll go talk to the dealer tomorrow. It’s not an online dealer, but a local one that’s very respected, so I’m very surprised they are selling this.

Thanks again to everyone helping confirm this!

Unless you already purchased the watch, I wouldn't necessarily recommend confronting the seller. In a situation like this, I just tell the seller that the watch isn't for me.

Haven’t purchased thankfully! You may be right though. I wasn’t planning to confront in a negative way, but to just point out what I noticed and see what they say.

Hands look fake as well IMO.
Could be the whole watch except for the movement…

Agreed, that Mercedes symbol is wonky in the centre.

Thanks for your feedback Dan - is the dial then ok? Or is it damages and should be replaced?

Can you see that from the pictures and UV picture? Does everything look alright?

The Watch has been to service 3 Month ago, there where no sogns of water damage in the movement. Maybe the dial only has Bern in a little cobtact to moisture and not directly water

Thanks🤩

I would just keep an eye on the dial, hopefully it will be stable. Certainly I wouldn't replace it now, it's quite attractive IMO.

That is EXACTLY how I like them, and pay a bit more as such.

This in my mind is the main/only strong visual differentiator for a tritium WGS, over say a 2000-2007 Luminova (eg 16610/14060/16610/16710 watch, as the tritium dial is a living, ever-changing dial.

I'd favour this dial with a slight polishing over a (so claimed) non-polished but fresh looking dial/hands !

Mostly just luck of the draw as to how they react, and wearing conditions.

The main driver it seems to me is the more it's been in a dark drawer or banksafe the darker it goes. I have a 16760 even darker brown been in bank safe for 37 years!
