Camera cases
I picked up a couple of Pelikan knockoffs at our local hardware store for A$69 each. Now my camera and lenses have a good home...

Very cool... But one question, why did you go the route of a 14-24 on a crop sensor body considering it's effectively a 21-36mm? Now I understand why the 14-24 is tempting, I own one for my D700, but seems like the new 10-24 or older 12-24 would have been more cost effective for the crop sensor (and wider)
Very cool way to store your camera gear!

My plan is to get the updated D700x FF body when it is released, or get a preowned D700, and use the D90 as a backup. As for the lenses, I cannot justify buying the trinity (14-24, 24-70 and 70-200) so I only bought the 14-24 first, because 1. it's the sharpest of the trio, 2. I already got a Sigma 24-70 F/2.8 DG, and 3. waiting for 70-200 VR2, or for a preowned 70-200 VR1 on a good price. |
