1963 Tudor Submariner ref. 7928 “PCG Case, Patina Dial”
Up for grabs is a Tudor Submariner
Reference 7928 with cal. 390 movement 400,6XX serial number circa 1963 production Excellent vintage condition case with very thick lugs. The watch has been polished and worn in past, surely, but you can still see the original chamfer and sharp pointed crown guards. Fully legible numbers. Dial is original, Chapter ring with silver print and silver hands with large lollipop seconds hand. This dial is usually only see in the 400k serial range through 400,9XX. This one is 400,XXX. It appears that gilt print dials are also mixed in during this time. The dial patina is very vivid yellow and a uniform aging on the paint. No scratches, no moisture damage, no chips. Original twin-lock Rolex crown. Bezel inset is original “Long 5” with faded color to a brown hue. Caseback is original, it is stamped 7928 and dated ’63. Bracelet is a Rolex USA C&I Rivet with ’78 dated clasp. No box or papers. My price is $11,750 shipped within US. I ship via FedEx w/ ParcelPro insurance so international shipments are not an issue.
