Daytona dilemma

The SS daytona blackdial is a fine work of rolex art it's style and elegance is the very reason why i'm going to chicago monday to pick it up from C.D. Peacock an an AD, the price there asking is 9,300 with warranty and insurance paperwork , booklet and a huge wooden rolex garage (box).

My question , is this price reasonable , i have the green light from the wifey and my budget is 11,500. let me know , thank you.

Is it new ??

I think that the list price on them is around 9600, so it is discounted from that.. The wooden box is not the one for a Daytona, but I like it better than the standard small green one........

Sounds like it is decent.........

Sounds like an older model as the MSRP is $9925. and like Larry said the wooden box was used years ago.

No, it's pre owned , the AD did mention that he had serveral boxes for me to choose from , i just figured if i got the daytona i'm going to put it in a large box instead of the small one.

If it's in great shape and you don't mind pre-owned, then I see no reason to not buy it. Just know that you can buy a new one, no potential issues, for a few hundred bucks more. There were several threads recently that pointed to new SS Daytonas at AD's across the country, and you would save on the sales tax.

If I were to buy a Black dial SS Daytona right now it would be this one for $8495:

Can't find a better sales forum or seller
