Don't get the notion I dislike like these rededigned watches! They're beautiful and the 36mm and DDII are SPECTACULAR in person! I've yet to try on a DD41 but I'm certain it's as gorgeous as the other two. I certainly understand how tough it will be to choose amongst the three. Despite the DDII being discontinued, NOS or previously owned is an viable option.

Thanks again for the pix which I will study carefully before the 'trying on' phase. To those who already own one - congrats on having great taste.

can I confirm that based on the photos above, the DD2 is "boxier" and less rounded than DD40? it looks more like an AP Royal Oak or a certain style of diver watch, which is why many perceive the DD2 as being more sporty and having a stronger presence than the dressier DD40?

Thanks. So same idea, it subtly feels like a larger, chunkier, more sporty pilot watch even though it's only 1 mm larger and you might not be able to articulate why it looks a little different?

If scouting for secondhand, is it safer to just buy DD40? DD2 prices seem to be much lower right? I'm trying to understand how to feel out DD prices for this.

Or just buy what you like?
