Speaking of 39mm he is right about setting it every 100 years... but speaking of 41mm it is every 6 years because of the wrong 52 weeks indicator...
Hope that next QP movement that is coming will not have week indicator or they add perpetuality on that complication too with 53 weeks... |

Regardless of how negative you are (or choose to be) on AP collabs, the John Mayer halo etc... JM is truly one of the most engaging/entertaining speakers out there. An astoundingly natural ability to draw the listener in...

Note that I don’t have an issue with the new JM collab (which I bet he actually substantially contributed to), but I definitely have a distaste for historical pieces being attached to modern celebrities. But it’s not that big a deal in the end. It comes down to the factual merits of each piece, I believe. |

So funny how watch lovers can have so much hate for another watch lover just because he has the access and funds to purchase his dream watches like they wish they could.

Any whiff of such hate would be unfortunate…thankfully there’s none of that on this forum, unless the thread was misinterpreted. Plenty of watch lovers and collectors here on the forum whom we celebrate and appreciate for their graciousness in share their pieces and insights. Beyond that, I’d like to think everyone on the forum is content and accepting of what each has.

None of the 39mm models except the anniversary one have the week complication so the 30/31 28/29 February counting will be wrong once in a 100 years, so hypoteticaly if it is always winded and not serviced it will need zero or one reset during your lifetime.
The added week complication on 41mm models with wrong 52 weeks will need to be reset every 6 years because of 53 week ajustment and it completly kills the "perpetuality"... Patek and some other brands did this complication right... But hey who cares about this... it is all how hot d drop iz and nmbr of likes on insta ![]() |

The week indicidator is one of the best things about the AP QP. It provides such a great visualization of where we are at in the year and how much time is left to ccomplish those things we set at to do at the beginning of the year. If AP got rid of it....their QP would lose much of the magic for me. |

Speaking that way... oh and why have that stupid leap year indicator, who keeps running his watch 4 years and can't make that ajustment every four years...
We speak about horology, complications so the week one with 52 is stupid and does not belong to a hh piece.... On other hand it is a preference if you like or no the week complication... and if you have it on such a piece made it also perpetual... |
