As I posted earlier in this thread I went to Freebirds on Congress this past weekend based on what you said in this thread and I was impressed. Simply awesome. My sister and brother-in-law, who I was visited really liked it as well and said they would definitely go back!

I go there all the time. I have a Fanatics Card. Right now I think it has over 150 points. That 150 burritos purchased. Not to mention the points I've already redeemed for burritos and merchandise. Probably close to 400 total since I first discovered it. I should probably own part of it by now.

So have you seen anyone eat an entire Super Monster burrito? I went with the Monster which was big but I was able to finish it but I cannot imagine polishing off the Super Monster.

Actually, I HAVE seen a few guys, well, order one... Not sure if they finished it. I always get the Hybrid (Half Freebird) and that's enough for me. I don't see how anyone could eat a SuperMonster and survive without a massive coronary!

I am cutting back John, I've only had it twice this week. Today was a bagel and cream cheese for lunch.

I love their barbacoa, but between it and the hot sauce I put on it, it will give my tummy the grumbles, especially if I don't take it easy on portion size -- and I don't eat bowls or burritos anymore, opting only for tacos or salads. Still, anything can be overdone.

Here's a helpful tip, I hope: The tacos, soft or hard shell, come with 3 tacos if you order normally off the menu. But, if you don't want the calorie count you can order just 1 or 2 tacos, and they will serve it to you, with the price adjusted accordingly. I opt for 2 tacos pretty regularly, and it comes out to 5 bucks and change rather than 7 bucks and change. I've never ordered just 1 taco, but I think it would come out to 3 bucks and change.
Just from my experience of people rationalizing themselves eating their, they seem to think it's a 'healthy' option ... I am an ex bodybuilder, so my opinions are a bit extreme to the avg person in regards to nutrition ! But still, Chipotle isn't that quality stuff like people tout

Anyway, it does taste good (sometimes) lol... I think it's the hot sauce that upsets my stomach... Do you notice that the actual meats have a ton of spice on them already? You can't really get away from it

I like the food at Chipotle but with all the hard surfaces (concrete floors and stainless steel everything), the place is too noisy.

I must be getting old(er).

Steve, don't they play loud rock & roll @ your Chipotle?
Mine does, works wonders w/ the crowd noise.
But then again, I am an old rock & roller.
P.S. by the 2nd, 3rd margarita, who gives a hoot

I actually lost weight eating at Chipotle: I leave off the guacomole. I don't know how much, really, but clothes are more comfortable

Just wish they served real tortillas (made from corn) not fake tortillas made from flour.

I guess if it's the only "Mexican food" you can get, it's edible... Come to San Diego if you want to have REAL Mexican food.
