Hanging out at Restoration Vineyards this afternoon drinking some rosé and listening to music.

Had dinner at a friend's house and got to see his wine cellar for the first time. He has been collecting for 30 years and has some beautiful wines. He opened these three and all were fantastic. First time I has Hundred Acre and it was heavenly at first sip!

Not surprising!! Les Clos is the finest domain there is for Chablis, and Chablis is the white wine that started it all in Burgundy so you had yourself a very special bottle there good sir!!!

OMG! Our new neighbors own a winery here in town and one of the guys is Italian and an amazing cook. Dinner was amazing but the wine was even better. What a treat! Oh, and they are watch guys so I’ll try to hook them up with my watch connections.

Thanks, and yes it was a great night. Finished it off with some Jim Beam Sherry Cask bourbon too.

They also let us know the property next door to them was purchased by a friend of theirs who is a chef/owner at a high end restaurant in Beaver Creek, CO. I see many more amazing dinners on the horizon, but Laurie and I are going to have to up our game.

2019 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon we picked up at the winery on a visit in the past. Liked it there and enjoying it at home.

While in Capetown, had to visit their oldest winery and vineyards of the country and tried a few of their finest....

Looks like a great day. I’ve only tried one SA Cabernet, but it was excellent. This is a good reminder that I need to try more.
