Genesis GV80

My very patient partner (who has been driving her 13 yr old convertible happily) loves the Hyundai brand and has decided she wants her next vehicle to be a Genesis GV80. I’ve decided if we’re gonna do it to go all out with the prestige version because I’m crazy but also, she deserves the top of the line.

I admit I haven’t looked at many online reviews and have not done much research beyond looking at every one I see and admiring them and speaking to owners directly when I encounter them.

Does anyone here own one? Know someone that owns one?

If so, anything we should know to beware of? Had any issues?

Tiger woods said he felt very safe in it

Kidding aside they are very plush and quite nice. Do check insurance rates because of the Kia/hyundai vehicle theft issue affecting older models with physical turn keys, insurance rates on all Kia/Hyundais have been higher. May not affect a Genesis, but worth looking into.

My sister (retired VP CPA type) bought one last year and got rid of it after a couple of weeks and then replaced it with an Acura SUV. She thought that she would love it when she ordered it but after taking delivery and owning it for a couple of week she said it just didn't thrill her like she hoped it would. I never heard he elucidate a specific complaint about it, so I don't have any idea why it went flat for her. I think it was an $80+K model.
