GMT Master at a pawn shop

I found a GMT Master at a pawn shop. They are asking $3500 out the door. It appears to be in good condition.
It looks like this one:

What do y'all think? Is it worth it? Of course I'd have it checked by a reputable dealer.

I just traded my 1999 A serial 16700.

I would be inclined to pay 3500-4000 for that as it is genuine.

So for 3500.00 you would indeed have very nice example of a GMT Master.

Buy it.

Yea it is a good deal and if you like it I say do it. I would walk in there with $3250 in your pocket (have 250 in another) and tell them you want it but that really is all you have... If they say sorry 3500 is the best go drive around the block like you went to an ATM and go back and get it.

Just tell them that 3,500 is a little too much because you want to send them for a check up at the RSC so that could end up costing 500 USD.. I hope then they will be willing to sell it to you for 3,000 to 3,250.

It's a good looking watch and a great reference..

Whether it is worth 3500 is up to you.. It is a decent price for a good example.....
