Rolex Ref: 5513 - I need an opinion from a DIAL EXPERT

I found the watch and the buckle inside this Rolex box
in one of my recent "exodus" for garage sales

The movement is correct, but the dial does not seem right
Could a dial expert tell me of it is....Authentic or not..?
I do not see the SWISS T <25 at the bottom either.
Thank you guys I would appreciate any info.

Early Rolex Ref: 5513 Serial 1.120.xxx

I like the belt buckle
Tasos take the dial out and lets have a better look.Front/Back.You know the answer is there most likely But you know there is a gilt dial just waiting to go back to its home in that case somewhere out there

Even as a refinished dial, that's one heck of a find. Beautiful.

The dial has been redone and it looks like the hands have been replaced.
I like that bezel insert though!

Actually I was looking through a BUNCH books at a garage sale
in my area. I opened a drawer and I saw the box, opened it
and I asked the retired ex-military gentleman how much was he asking
for the Rolex box, the buckle and the sub head..he said 300
I told him this is too low
...and surprised him ..when I gave him 1,500..

WOW. That was a very nice gesture on your end. He probably paid $200 when he bought it back in the days. Get it fixed and wear it with all the joy and health in the world. Cheers to you and you are one lucky guy!!!!

Actually on one shoulder I had Satan telling me... take it... take it.. for $300

On the other shoulder I had both Gabriel and Michael
these two are so heavy to carry, especially when they told me
...carefull my son....while they were applying a bit of pressure

I mean who am I to say NO to G & M ?

Wonderful find Anastasios.

Even at 1500 its a great deal.

The dial looks redone unfortunately.

But I really like that faded bezel.

I think it's an interesting question you raise. There's no doubt that it was a noble gesture on your part, but I have a question about the moral necessity of giving him more than he was asking. After all, he did not come to you searching for your expertise. I can imagine a moral component if, say, the man were starving, but I'm not hearing that aspect.

At any rate, you will have no guilts at all. If you were hearing in the Spirit not to give him merely his asking price, you were right to have given him more.

Oh!... and nice find!

Definately not starving... but totally clueless.
I felt like stealing candy from... a baby...

Hence my expression....."Wooden Coats do not have pockets"
