Cape Town anyone ……?

Heading out end of next month. Daughter has a sports tournament so taking in a couple of games. There for 15 days.

My partners planned most of it. I think we’re a week in camps bay/ then a 3 day safari/ wine tour & we’re going to see the penguins. Got Roben Island & table mountain trips pencilled in

Cheap Casio already bought & know the drill about licensed taxis everywhere/ no luxury items on show / no walking about after dark etc

Anyone been ? Any tips ? Only thing not on the itinary is a great white shark boat trip which I fancy but we’ll see

Smart move buying the Casio. I don’t know if you like wine but always worth trying the local tipple and some good wineries to choose from

Cape town is fairly safe. Saw a few rolexes around Try to stay around the marina area accommodation is reasonable. Super restaurants and good shops and nice vibes

A trip to Stellenbosch wine region is worth taking.
Table mountain. Wander away from the touristy bit near the cable car is a great walk.
Simons bay to the south is really nice.
A safari is worth going to if you have time

I visited 3 places in SA and the rest of it was not great putting it mildly. But CT is well worth it. I'd have a month there if I could

I'm back there in March. (World cruise 25/26)

Ive been to SA and cape town three times, brought my Rolex sub and it was fine. In Cape Town one needs to be smart on one’s movements especially when it’s dark but in towns such as franschhoek it’s safe. That small is a great visit, some great wine yards and restaurants. Where are you planning to go on safari? If it’s a once in a time trip I recommend going up to Kruger to get the real experience.
