Yankees forgot how to hit. Frustrating to watch.

He popped his shoulder out, according to the Japanese translation. We'll have to see if he'll be okay to continue in the series. I don't think the Dodgers want to risk it by bringing him back too soon. Crazy to say, but I think they can still win it without his production.

Judge has been really down on form.

I hope he can change his situation the Yankees really need his batting prowess if they are to have a chance of winning the series.

I just got a Darryl Strawberry Mini Bat....to slug someone (myself) when the Yankees don't win

It will.

I don’t feel this series is over. Yankee bats will get hot.

If the Yankees brought a match to light a fire, the Dodgers have brought the rain. The Yankees (and their fans) look like they got stuck outside in it without an umbrella. They’ve looked defeated from Game 1.

Looks like this is one of those years where the National league just had better teams than the American league. I think there are 4 or 5 teams in the NL that would have beaten the Yankees in a 7 game series.

Yep, that long break before the World Series seems to have thrown the Yanks off…. But, hey, still only four more games to go! ;-)

Freeman is incredible. He has now homered in every single World Series game in this series. His at-bats are so methodical, and he's just absolutely dialed in on the pitches.

If you swapped out Judge for Freemen the Yankees would have be World Series champs..

Perhaps, but that still doesn't atone for their base running or fielding issues, not to mention the questionable managerial calls, especially with the pitching decisions.

putting that aside, i think the reason the yankees are down 3-0 is because of poor management. game 1 was very winnable until you brought out cortes who hasn't seen a real game in months. besides that though, Betts is 0-5 vs cortes so i feel like you coulda just pitched to Betts instead of walking him. i can kinda understand walking him though because Freeman is "injured" but surely analytics would've showed that it's a risk and that he'd be a home run king at this stadium since he's a lefty. i guess they were hoping for a pop out because i feel like we knew he was gonna swing vs Cortes just like Ohtani did

yesterday could've been avoidable too. not sure why they're afraid to throw a pitch to an injured Ohtani instead of taking a calculated risk and seeing what he's got. and then they throw a fastball down the middle to Freeman who they should've pitched around instead lol

Freeman's walk off grand slam broke this team. i feel like this yankees team isn't the type of team to be able to bounce back from those kinds of things mentally because they're robots. you have Soto and Verdugo but other than that there just isn't enough personality for them to fire themselves up. there was 0 energy to start the game yesterday, just felt weird

Well after Volpe's Grand Slam tonight I can see new enthusiasm and confidence in the Yankees.

OK, the Yankees are a long shot to win the World Series being 3-1, but during the season we've seen them have hot streaks and when they're hot they're hot.

Game 5 at home for the Yankees will be interesting...

Flaherty worked Games 1 and 5 against the Mets, and pitched great at home in Game 1, and struggled badly in Game 5. Roberts is following the same pattern with the Yankees and Flaherty pitched well in Game 1, but his previous New York outing makes you wonder what he'll have tonight. If were the Yankees, I'd feel pretty good about tonight having Cole on the mound.

No matter the outcome these items need immediate addressing at the end of the year win or lose! But recent history tells us the current Yankees subscribe to a new age baseball ethos. This particular subscribtion has yielded a joke of the last 15 years postseason performances but yet we still plug on...

Three bad fielding mistakes in one inning, 5 free runs gifted to the Dodgers. That's a very dangerous spark to give them.

An improbable comeback. Congrats to the 2024 World Series Champion Dodgers on an incredible season. It was a great playoffs to watch.
