TV Drama Series recommendations

The BBC are now showing the second series based on Hilary Mantel’s brilliant trilogy of books about Henry Tudor’s marital shenanigans.
The first series, the eponymous ‘Wolf Hall’ was a fantastic vehicle for Mark Rylance, who played Thomas Cromwell.

The second series, ‘The Mirror and the Light’ is, so far, just as good as the
first. The locations, the costumes, the photography, script and acting, are all on par (no pun intended) with the usual high standard the BBC have for historical drama.

(The ‘middle’ book, ‘Bring up the Bodies’, is incorporated into the first TV adaptation, ‘Wolf Hall’)

Highly recommended.

All episodes can be found on the BBC iPlayer.

Favourite watch at the moment is definitely Day of the Jackal on Sky Atlantic with Eddie Redmayne.

Watch: What is "watch"?

My wife has gone on and on about "The Morning Show". Lost a bet and sat through the pilot with her... suffice it to say, we "binge-watched" the first season. Very interesting. And different.

I just finished Lost last night. I think it was good overall. My favorite series include: The Wire, The Shield, The Mentalist, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul. All of those I watched until the end whereas some other series I quit watching half way through because they keep dragging on.

I watched the first episode of Landman, I think this will be a very good show. The Diplomat is also very good.

Until I Kill You on ITV X is well worth the watch.
