I can't fathom this to be true, perhaps your SA is misinformed. There is no chance they would know if you swapped the strap yourself, I have seen my SA change the strap infront of me, it is no different than doing it yourself. I've changed my straps, 100s of times myself, the entire boutique knows it and when my 030 went into service, I had no issue. Would not let them deter you from changing the straps, just make sure you don't lose the screws.

Congrats on the new watch!

Great to know, thanks! I ordered the Horofix 4 prong screwdriver from Esslinger. For the deployant screw, is that just a standard flat screwdriver like on Patek, etc?

Also, any advice on the process to change the crown rubber? Toothpick to pry it up and off?

Again, appreciate all the insight from this thread!

This will help: https://www.watchprosite.com/richard...41666.2177796/

One tip is to push the strap into the case as you screw down, especially if it is a velcro/nylon strap. Just be careful to not slip as the case scratches easily. After a few attempts, should be able to swap the strap in less than 3 minutes.

FIRST RM INCOMING!! After many years of circling around RM at a distance as I didn’t appreciate the brand, and wearing lots of other pieces from Rolex, AP, PP, etc, I decided to give it a try. I read this entire thread start to finish at least once, and visited my grey and RM boutique to try on all relevant models. As many of you know, they are all awesome in their own way, and would love to have them all. I decided to start with something to wear as a daily, so wanted a smaller case size and understated look.

I was stuck on which sports model to get, as some had many colors, were too thick for long sleeves, hard to get, expensive, etc. So I thought a 67-01 would do the trick, granted it wasn’t 100% what I wanted, as was hoping to get a sports piece with the various layers of sapphire.

I put in a request for this but got a unique offer. RM was quietly releasing a few brand new RM010’s in Ti and my boutique was allocated one that was coming in a few days. My SA went to bat for me with corporate as a potential new customer and was able to offer this to me. Timing happened to work out in my favor. I picked it up yesterday and absolutely love it! I’m getting a white strap for summer and plan to wear this daily.

I can easily wear the larger pieces, having a flat 7.5” wrist and being 6’2”, and initially requested a 65-01. But this just fits so perfectly and is thin at 13mm. Looking forward to enjoying this for a long time and maybe adding a 67-02 Ogier next.

These are impossible to photograph so here’s a few pics. Appreciate everyone’s guidance along the way!

Massive congrats! That is probably my favourite piece. I've been looking to get into RM and was told the 67-01 is probably the best way to start by the boutique until recently when they mentioned that the RM010 is back. As much as I love the 67-01, I was always thinking the 005,010 and 029 were more appealing to me but bummed they didn't make these models in that size anymore. Just hoping that one comes through one day in case they discontinue it again.

It ticks all my boxes and it has the classic Tonneau shape and size and in Titanium from the early days when they started! Enjoy the new watch in the best of health!!

Thanks so much! It sounds like you are in the exact same dilemma I was in just recently. I wanted a sports model, but none were exactly what I wanted as my first piece, so I decided on the 67-01. I got lucky with my timing and hope they continue to offer the 010 to new customers. It’s a great way to get into the brand and it does tick a lot of boxes at a reasonable price. Hope it works out for you too!

**OFFICIAL RICHARD MILLE PIC THREAD (and daily snap shots)**

Changed the strap to white rubber on the 67-02 and love it. Brings out the colors on the dial more.

Looks great! Do you prefer the rubber with deployant or Velcro?

I like both for different reasons. The rubber gives it a more aggressive look and ups the level of sportiness but the Velcro is comfortable on a level that’s hard to put into words. However, I think after a couple days I gotta say I’m really liking it on the rubber.

I like both looks. I have rubber on my 10 and it’s super comfortable. I tried yours on with red Velcro and disappeared on my wrist. Both are awesome. Wish Velcro was water resistant.

This looks awesome on white strap. Would love to see it with a dark green or dark red strap to match the other colors on the dial and the red on the crown.

I was inspired to change some RM straps by this debate, and when I dug out my old 4-prong RM screwdriver and tried it on my 65 NTPT, it was too big to fit in the hole. A bit bizarre as it fitted in the past on other models. Are you using the 2.35mm or 2.75mm blade for the Horofix please?

It’s funny you say this, as I tried to remove my strap but neither size blade fit. I was scratching my head as it didn’t make sense. I gave up as didn’t want to force it. So for now, I assumed my Horofix wasn’t the correct model for my watch. I wonder if RM changed screw sizes recently? I was going to have the first change done at the boutique when my strap arrives and ask them what the deal is.
