5167r protective stickers

Hello, I know some don’t like to do it, and I have never done for any of my watches but for my recent 5267r purchase would love a recommendation for best sticker brand to use. Do they work and stay on watch?

Welcome suggestions thank you l!

I’ve used Styx on a WG watch. It was reasonably easy to apply and has stayed on the watch for about 2 years, although I am very easy on watches.

I got some for 5164r when I first got one about a year ago. I recommend not doing it and just wearing the watch. Wear and tear looks a lot better than a stickered watch. It looks ridiculous

Kind of like a bumper buddy on a nice car

Great watch
If it is just the clasp you want to protect, I would consider removing the rubber strap & clasp altogether and putting the watch on any other type of strap which would be an improvement over the bulky OEM clasp

While I'm against needing protective covers and leave all my scratches on my watches I don't think we should mention money.
There are some people with expensive cars that baby and cringe at a single hair line scratch. It's not because they can't afford it, but because they are ocd about it.

I have unintentionally done that with my 5167R because I didn’t realize a sticker was missed before they gave it to me. But it didn’t take long for the edges to start coming off and then I realized it was still there. To me it looked worse than scratches (which tended to be more evenly distributed) so I took it off.

So if you decide to try it, I guess it comes down to how well it sticks over time. If you try it and don’t like it, worst case is that you’re out a little money. But over time, you’ll typically pay less attention to the scratches and more attention to the dial and movement (in a good way).

There is a lot of wisdom in this statement. You own the watch; it doesn't own you. Insure it against damage, loss or theft, but then wear it for normal everyday activities and forget about it. Wear another watch for heavy labor and sports.

Anyone who derides a watch owner for using or even considering watch protection is a jerk. There are always comments like 'buy a watch you can afford' and similar derogatory comments. OP didn't ask for anyone thoughts on this- they asked for a recommendation and if they work, not for permission. If the OP thinks it's a good idea, then live and let live and don't judge.

You got bro. Thanks.

And all I want is for the clasp.

Happy Holidays!

Would shellac work? Advantages: conformal; can be refreshed/repaired; easily removable with alcohol.
A clear silicone could also work.

I have never understood why some believe calling others “new money” is insulting. Generally, “new money” folks are entrepreneurial and skilled, whereas “old money” is just lucky. I’d feel a bit sheepish if I were wealthy due to the circumstance of my birth rather than from my own merit. And I’d certainly never look down on someone who became wealthy through their own actions.

But all that said, as I mentioned previously, I generally think watch stickers are ugly, but you do you.

I did not apply one for my 5167R and I kinda regretted not doing so. I guess I'm kinda clumsy and picked up scratches and dinks a bit too often. So when I picked up a 5168G recently, I went with a Korean brand Watch Shell. used them before fully on a 15510OR and them the claspes of a few of my Rolex GMTs and they sticked really well.

One caveat though. Due to the nature of plastic film, a matte brushed surface will look more reflective than usual. No problem with with polished surfaces of course. Watchshell's template covers most of the watch's surfaces, even tiny ones.

This is exactly what they were talking about. A gentleman doesn't like this kind of superiority, because the elders are aware of what it stems from and where it leads. You know, what you can not buy on money is experience and a good manner.
