I tried both on at AD’s. Wanted a Hulk at the time, but was curious about SD’s (also tried on DS that were much more commonly in stock at the time. The DS was way to thick for me. I wanted to love the deep blue, but even though I tried to love it with multiple trips to the AD, I could not. I tried on the 4K to see how I liked 40mm cases. It’s proportions did not win me over. Then I went to a different AK on the lark to find a Hulk in stock. They seemed hurt that I was not impressed with their rather amazing sport selections-I was uninterested to even try on a watch in their case. They said they had a 43 in the safe and I should see it and try it on. I reluctantly did. I loved it, but still was Jone’sing for an unseen Hulk. Another salesman came over and let me try on his Hulk side by side the 43. I left with the 43, but they insisted on putting me on the Hulk list anyway. Hulk took a month

I would keep the 43...the SDk just never did anything for me.

Tried it on once, and was less impressed than I was from the pics.

the 43 is a better watch and the 40 is probably going to be the more collectable watch.

Both look great...hard choice.

Id probably go for the 43, love the red:)

The SD4K is rather a bland reference in comparison to the SD43. I tried one on but was left underwhelmed by it, so went for the latter.

SD43. Much much better looking watch, and more distinctive in terms of visual cues.

I honestly don't know what makes the 4k "special".

Production run:

SD43 mk1: 1 year
SD4K: 3 years

I'd keep the SD43. Choose wisely.
