Didn’t “get the call” so I “walked in”

Been waiting for 12-18 months+ to “get a call” from two ADs that I sincerely thought I had decent relationships with (and a small 5 figure spend history at both…). Requested a blue OP41/No Date Sub/GMT (BLNR or BLRO)… call never came, made it clear that I would be thrilled with any of the three on two or three occassions. The last time I dropped by both places, my “wish” was clearly not remembered. One location (my SA wasn’t there) couldn’t even find my record in their computer.

Done with the crown until supply catches up with demand, or the ADs stop playing games*.

In the meantime, I’ll enjoy this FOIS! Omega Boutique always rolls out the red carpet, has simple and fun events, and remembers our last conversation with ease… if they keep releasing great pieces, I will be buying them instead of waiting around for another Rolex.

*I can pretty much guarantee if I get a call for any of those models, I’ll practically trip over myself to eat my words and go buy another watch….haha

Congrats on the new watch! Lucky for you the others didn’t work out, as the FOiS is fantastic. :-)

Congrats! I have the FOIS great piece.
I’m 100% with you on the dealer experience. Omega customer service is in another dimension compared to Rolex.

Lovely watch.... enjoy it in good health.

Your experience echoes my own.

Before the world went covid-mad, I had an ongoing relationship with my Rolex AD. Over the years, they sold me a couple of Subs, a GMT, Milligauss and a Daytona.

Recently, when I stopped in to express my interest in the new ceramic Daytona, they treated me like a complete stranger.....demanding that I had to purchase some useless jewelry before they would consider selling my a new Daytona.

Not a chance!!!

Stopped into my local Omega Boutique on my way home. They were amazingly honest and professional.

They added my name to their 321EW wait-list with the understating that it would take up to a year before delivery. And to their word, the watch arrived about 6-months later.

Since that time, I've purchased 5-more Omega watches and sold off all my modern Rolex.

I'm done with the Crown!!!

Congratulations!!

I also had similar experience and the Omega AD has been treat me nicely compared with Rolex which every-time got me a bitter taste.

Even now with the latest release 300M text them and they told me was ordered and will let me know when arrives to try and buy, imagine calling or texting asking for a Sub :))))

Both my Omega AD and boutique are a pleasure to deal with, are always happy to offer me latest watches and is overall a great purchasing experience.

I like Rolex watches, but can’t do all the bullshit that goes with them. Thus I’ll stick to 5 digit Rolex, which is just as well as I don’t like too much of the newer stuff. Aside from that, omega have been knocking it out the park over the last year or so, compared to boring tweaks from Rolex. They are by far my favourite brand.
