Cleaning my new Rolex

I was lucky enough to get my first Rolex a few months back. What do you all use to clean it and keep the shine? I see so many different ways but some concern me.

I've always used a soft bristle toothbrush and some hand soap.

drop of dawn soap and warm water. pat dry w/ soft paper towels / microfiber call it a day.

You don’t need to use their cleaning products though if you don’t want go that route but definitely invest in the brush. Just warm water and a dab of baby shampoo and a drying polishing cloth is all you really need.

fill the sink with water, use soft tooth brush and regular soap....put a cloth or paper towel in sink just in case it slips from you hand..the other day my girlfriend ask me...wash mine too please...it's a TAG.....her choice! HA!

Dish soap, fingers, and careful, use of a soft toothbrush to get between the bracelet links from the under side:cheers

I stole this from my wife - a replacement brush head for one of those Olay facial cleansing battery operated brushes. If it’s soft enough for a face, it’s soft enough for metal. I use water and whatever liquid hand soap is on the counter at the time, rinse it off, and blow the water out of the crevices of the bracelet and whatnot using a hair dryer on the cold setting. Then I use a microfiber cloth for eyeglasses for a final wipe down, and I’m done.

Dawn dishwashing liquid soap, warm water, soft toothbrush and a dry with a soft microfiber towel that doesn't have cotton fibers that can get in-between the links. Enjoy!

Agreed. Dish soap (dawn in USA, fairly liquid in uk), warm water. Lather up in hands. Rinse and repeat then dry it off under air blower or a damp towel. If pcl or precious metal I wouldn’t use any kind of brush.

Congratulations on getting your first Rolex! That’s an exciting milestone. For cleaning, I recommend using a soft microfiber cloth to wipe down the case and bracelet regularly to keep it shiny. If it needs a deeper clean, you can use a little warm soapy water and a soft brush, but be careful not to get water in the crown or pushers. Just make sure to rinse it well and dry it completely afterward. It’s all about keeping it gentle and simple!

I read here a few years ago to use the dishwasher, top shelf, light wash, no drying cycle. I tried it and it works great. I can do all my watches in one go and it gets the bracelet clean between the links.

I typically always have a microfibre eyeglass cleaner in my pocket. That helps keep the crystal and bezel clean.

Diluted Dawn dish soap and your fingers. Clean your glasses the same way. You can’t wash too much. I will wash the watch I wear daily if needed before bed.

A 50 mins cycle of dishwasher or a tumble of washer and dryer should be ok for a Sub ;) for the rest however ..

Jokes aside - screw down the crown tight and then any hand soap, a hand rub and a gentle rinse (no brush) is perfect. I do it weekly for the watch that is on my wrist. They come out sparking and shiny
