5164G chances after getting a Calatrava?...
I love the new grayish blue color on the 5164G. I have a good relationship with my AD for other brands, but wondering in the next year or so if I can get my first Patek and likely a Calatrava, if I would have any chance of the 5164G as my second?

have a candid discussion with your AD and ask.
Looks like you are from California (competitive) so chances are slim. If you are a one and done, grey is the way. |

In the other thread you are considering between two entry level calatravas... i would also say very unlikely to get the 5164G as your second piece, maybe your third/fourth depending on what you get next.

Love the new color and am hoping for a 5167G or 5968G in that color as I am not interested in 5164.
Your chances to land an Aquanaut have got to be better than they would have been 2 or 3 years ago. There are always cases where people get lucky. Maybe not in the most affluent markets but you could shop around. When I wanted a 5711 as a first new Patek several ADs in my town said no chance. But an AD 2 hours away delivered the goods just before the market went crazy. Sadly, that AD has since been discontinued. |

I think the relationship with the AD would need to be at the point of view they have of you.
An analogy may help explain. A GM fleet buyer places over 100 orders with ABC Dealer for trucks. $3.5MM in revenue. ABC Dealer also has a Porsche franchise next door to the truck lot. If the buyer asks for a Porsche allocation by year-end, I'd guess that buyer has some power in the play. Question is: Does your AD see you as an important buyer? If so, maybe a good chance - especially if there are other PP ADs in your city. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As others have said, slim. You will never know if you don’t ask though. Hope it works out for you.
