Datora, what’s not to love?

Picked up my first Breitling a few months ago and every time I wear it I am fascinated on how beautifully done the Premier Datora is.
The dial is mesmerizing, the movement is fantastic and the different strap options are a bonus. Just an absolute gorgeous piece.

So why is there no more love for this line from Breitling?

For me it's the size. I like the watch but wished they would have kept it 39mm or below.

Very nice. I purchased the gold model when they first came out. I really liked the watch but kept having issues with it. Ended up returning it after a few weeks.

This watch looks amazing. I really like the color of the dial. I’m thinking about buying one maybe this year.

As someone who has always been interested in the watch what type of issues did you experience?

The chrono failed several times and there was an issue with the moon phase. I was able to capture the failure with a video and it did act up at the boutique. It’s when this model first came out. I did not want to deal with sending a new watch back in for months that cost that amount of money.

It's too thick for me personally (doesn't sit right on my wrist), but I love the look otherwise.

I'd like to start by saying that it looks great on you, congrats. And of the contemporary Breitling offerings, the "salmon dial" Datora gets considerable recognition.

Like others have said, the large size turns off many- it's like Breitling hasn't gotten the memo that slimmer is often preferred.

For me personally, once you've seen/worn/owned the vintage pieces from the 40s-70s, it's very difficult to buy new... if you get a chance, check out the older Datoras. You might even find yourself looking to buy one.

The moonphase sets this piece off. Saw it in person for the first time at a boutique in Houston. Stunning watch

I really love this watch, but unfortunately I can't wear a watch as thick as the Datora without it feeling in the way.

Would it actually be possible to fit this movement into a slimmer case? I'm sure that if they were to make it one or two mm slimmer, then it would sell a lot better! I'd get one for sure!

+1 plus it was a little too thick for me. Beautiful watch though, wish I had the wrist size.
