I think the 116719 originally came with a black dial but could be swapped for blue. The 126719 only came with blue.

At that time Rolex changed the dial on the 116719 to blue for one year to distinguish it from the SS 116710. 116719 owners (with black dial) were able to buy a blue dial to replace black at this point with some ADs letting the owners keep the black dial while others had to give it up. After that the 126719 was released with new movement and blue dial; the current model. I know all this because at that time I could have bought a nice pre-owned 116719 for 32K CAD but got cold feet spending that kind of money on one watch

116719 can be black or blue.
126719 always in blue.

If you can swing it go for it. You could source a 126710 dial and switch it out once in a while.

Asides from the 114060 and the 116618 ? Lol.

I really should venture into other brands at this point but considering I have no AD relationships I’m quite hesitant to venture into the world of PP, VC etc etc etc high horology brands buying used.

116710 was released 7 years prior to 116719. The 116719 had a black dial for 3/4 years until the blue dial version was released.

What Mario said is accurate ! I have 116719 and swaped for a blue dial but I was allowed to keep black dial for a fee. It was well worth it . The RSC changed the dial and hands and I kept the black dial cost was 1080.00.
