Moonshine Green Dial Speedy strap alternatives?

Happy New Year all.

I’ve liquidated some watches to make room for a potential grail. Even though the white dial 3861 is the hype piece of 2024, I am enamored with the two moonshine Speedmasters in moonshine gold.

Unfortunately, my budget won’t allow for the bracelet option. I wouldn’t walk away from the “panda” if I found a great deal, but I really love the green dial. The problem is I don’t like the green alligator strap at all.

Two questions for the masses-
1. Do you think the black rubber “moon surface” strap that comes standard on the panda dial would look stupid with the green dial watch?

And/or

2. What other strap options would you recommend or think would look amazing (I lean toward sporty) on the green dial moonshine watch?

Ps. Posting on another forum as well to maximize opinions.

No I don’t think the rubber strap would look out of place.

Also, Omega do nice leather racing straps, they are all on their website. I would look at those, you can match one up with the watch on the website.

Happy hunting.

I agree. On Omega's site I was able to line up the gold/green case with a few straps, and I liked black alligator, black rubber, and I also thought the Golden Brown calf skin looked good.

It's possible there are more straps in the Omega catalog that an Omega Boutique could show/sell to you but which are not posted in the straps section of Omega's web site. Might be worth visiting a Boutique and seeing if someone there will offer other options.

I can't understand gold watch on а rubber strap. For me it's like a woman in a beautiful dress and rubber swamp boots, out of place.
Brown alligator will look fine.

Fair Alex…

I would prefer full gold bracelet as well. Unfortunately, it’s too cost prohibitive for me with two kids in college and two recent daughter’s weddings.

I also find a rubber/leather strap on Au more wearable in everyday situations.

Yeah, I could wait a few more years and get a full gold bracelet , but I want to experience gold right now.

Even though a like the green dial better a la carte, I think the moonshine panda dial looks better on the rubber strap. A very sporty look and MUCH cheaper than a Daytona on OF.

Speedmasters are such strap monsters I don't think the material matters much. Personally I think the rubber strap goes stellar with any Speedy PM or not. Obviously the rubber strap fits a sportier profile (which is why I think it speaks to me more) but the leather strap options are pure class.

Omega clearly has great strap options across but I'd take a close look at delugs with the leather catalogue.
