Yep, PP 60m rating works 1ft under the surface in mineral springs!

Indeed! It seems impervious. Not sure how. But showering with it for months. No apparent difference. And now the mineral hot springs. Nothing.

Wow. Impressive and amazing watch.
Not judging here, only wondering why you shower with it everyday. Is it too much hassle to take it off (would be surprised by that) to avoid any risk of damage to the watch itself and/or its strap? I mean, I can image you rather take it with you in the shower to prevent theft rather than leaving it in a locker in a gym, but in your own house or hotel room that shouldn’t be a problem. And I assume you take it off afterwards anyway to dry you wrist and watch. |

Amazing that the kind of water exposure you describe hasn’t affected the leather strap.

Same leather strap from my 5522, it is unusually water resistant.

I would have no worries about the watch. The constant exposure to water will eventually cause a problem with the strap though. I would switch to canvas or sailcloth.

Such a good question. It’s definitely not a huge pain to take it off; but I often forget, and then, as I travel, I would get nervous about leaving it in the bathroom of a hotel, clubhouse, etc. I’ve just gotten to a point where I realize I wear these on a daily basis and if I have to worry about cuddling it, I’ll end up, not wearing it. Plus, I bought a second backup strap from my A.D. (now closed) in case this strap blows out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Applause for you wearing the watch wherever you go!
I'd rinse both watch and strap if you want to avoid any biological build-up from the mineral content in that water. Now I'm not sending any alarming "chicken little" warnings - it's the same advice the factories give after owners wear a watch in seawater, too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m sure it’s full grain leather - the closest to waterproof

Cow's get wet all the time, why not dive with your leather strap? Silly of you ask me, swim away!
