Yes there were various items brought on these dives including a particular time piece.
There was no expectations of it other then

I’m probably the only guy on TRF that can’t swim (literally can’t).

I am at a point where I prefer not to submerge mechanical watches in water to any significant depth. If going under water, I would wear the current type of large plastic looking watches divers wear which I believe are relatively affordable and more useful.

I've used my Seiko mods divers or Marathon SAR without issue. Above is a link to a video my son & I made right after certification.
