Rolex Oysterdate 6694
Hello guys. Love these vintage 6694. However, I purchased one recently with the royal blue dial and gilt lettering and hands. Does this looks good to you? I am no vintage expert and would love to hear your opinions. Thanks!

Did the seller claim that the dial was original?

The strap is an aftermarket off course.
5.3 million serial puts it around 1978. Sent from my SM-S921U1 using Tapatalk |

The printing doesn't look correct to me.

I would normally expect the blue dial to have a bit more sunburst effect to it. Here is a good example with original bracelet for sale on C24 currently:

Its a 6694, who cares if the dial is original. If you like the dial, wear it and love it.
Id bet to say that of the dials out there for sale right now for a 6694, 9 out of 10 are aftermarket. Its just where we have gotten. The 6694 isnt a super collectible model since there are so many of them out there. IMO, a dial swap doesnt really effect anything.

Good looking, well done, watch.
Enjoy it, don't fret over every little thing that may detract from your ownership and pride in wearing it. ![]()
