Can I trust Luxury Bazaar?
I'm looking to buy my first Rolex, a GMT-Master II. I'm willing to pay the after-market premium; my main concern is more authenticity than price. Is Roman's company to be trusted to only sell genuine merchandise? Google searches are mixed, but lean towards authenticity. Also, if I do purchase, what's the best way to get the watch authenticated? Would an AD do so, if not purchased through them? Thanks, all, for the Newbie question.

If you need to worry about buying an authentic watch, find another dealer.

I’d personally rather buy from one of the sellers here if you are in doubt.
DSW, Takuya, OC Watches, etc. |

Roman has been associated with selling fakes before, including fake RayBans, so I would steer clear.

Thanks, all. Is there a quick way to reference the trusted dealers listed on this site? I can't seem to find it if so...

I have never bought a watch from LB but I have also never heard any claims of him selling fake watches or really any bad dealings. If the price was right, I’d buy from LB. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I can only imagine that it didn't stop at the fake Ray-Bans. That was just the only thing that was caught.. I wonder what's the latest on that court case.

Lots of trusted sellers here on the forum with great track records and great reviews. These are ones that you can purchase from and not have to worry at all. David SW is one of them and highly recommended.

You’ll have no problems with luxury bazaar. With that said, you could also buy from numerous sellers here as well. Just run it by us in this thread before proceeding. Europeanwatch is another large retailer as is the 1916 company.

LB is legit but there prices are on high side. Rather do business with any of the trusted sellers here.

Thanks for all the helpful responses. How do I find the list of trusted sellers on this Forum? I've searched and must be missing it.
As to Luxury Bazaar's prices, I was able to make an offer below their original asking price, which was accepted, and I feel good about it. Another question: What process, if any, do people use to authenticate their purchases once made? Bring to an AD? Other jeweler? Thanks again. Appreciate the support for my first purchase! |

Most of us take the sellers word for it or rely on their reputation. Others can tell a fake from the real thing. Your local AD will be completely useless. They are no better at telling a fake from real than average Joe. If you list you can send it to RSC but be prepared to wait a month. If you are this reluctant, and I get it, go with one of the biggest names in the business like 1916 company or EWC. You can rest assured but will pay 10% more likely.
