Holiday gift for your SA
I’ve given a bottle of champagne to my SA each of the last few years, whether I’ve done business with them that year or not. Curious to hear how many folks are gifting to your SA and what value of gift is appropriate.

For both an AD and a local reseller, I find something in the $50-$100 range but give it when picking up a watch, not at a holiday.

Some Christmas cookies for the house / boutique when I visit and have a coffee with them prior to Xmas...
Nothing too fancy but think they appreciate a sweet treat that is shared... Before someone starts the "would you also give it to X if you don't expect anything in return..." Song, yes that's exactly right. Same gift |

I bring my SA sushi for lunch at least quarterly. I like cookies as an idea.

The day my wife picked up her new watch we were walking around town and just by chance happened to see a Kaws/Uniqlo collaboration so we picked up a tshirt as a gift for our SA as we were just talking about that watch. Headed back to the boutique to give it to him and he said AP is super strict about not being able to accept gifts and if he takes it it has to declare it and it goes into a company lottery for their Christmas party.

A gift card for a nice local restaurant. Usually a few hundred dollars. I do a lot of business with my AD and it also includes a lot of repairs and adjustments. Just a way to say thank you.

I don't make it a habit to give my SA any gifts, because I don't want people to interpret it as bribery. While the SA might be happy to receive, his/her colleagues may view it as a form of under the table incentive which can may the SA lose his/her job.
The only time I gave my SA a gift was when his wife was pregnant. I bought them a bottle of wine to celebrate the safe delivery of his child. |

Considering there was a huge scandal in terms of bribes for allocations that transpired just a few years back that got some very prominent people in hot water, a whole staff getting axed at a boutique, among other issues... There's now a strict no gift acceptance policy.

May be a US vs Asia thing. I was also told they are not supposed to accept gifts.

I'd figure how much you made from the relationship and give a small percentage
