Can a hollow endlink bracelet be paired with holes case 16710 that came with SEL?
I was debating between buying a 16700 and 16710 GMT and chose the 16710. It's a 2000 model with a holes case and solid endlinks.
The one feature I prefer in the 16700 over the SEL 16710's is the hollow endlink bracelet. I realize most people prefer SEL's but I prefer the old school look of the hollow endlink bracelet (paired with a SuperLuminova dial, which is a major reason why I went with a Swiss Made 16710). I believe the answer is yes, but wanted to get confirmation before I source a bracelet (which will not be cheap). Can the 16710 holes case that came with SEL's be paired with a hollow endlink Rolex bracelet? If yes, what bracelet and endlink combination am I looking for? Research tells me it would be a 78790 bracelet with 501B endlinks, but again, I'd like to get confirmation. Thanks! |

Yes, every 16710 produced from its inception through around '99 or 2000 had a hollow endlink bracelet and a holes case.

Also, I'm open to suggestions for reliable sources to purchase the bracelet and endlinks.

The only combination to be mindful of are Endlinks for holes cases on a no holes watch. These Endlinks often don’t have notches for accessing the spring bars and so if fitted to a no holes case, you can’t easily remove them.
