Big congrats! Looks really great.

Looks great - I’ve been thinking about blue but I also have aqua and really like it. Is it still the same small bracelet with barely enough links? Are you changing to that mark push button clasp one again.

Correct sir. I have already pulled the folder from the Aqua and installed on the blue. The blue model is all brushed parts and the OE folding clasp in that config is currently on back order. I had a guy brush the very small PCL and the only polished part on the clasp I have is the logo outline/slide release. It actually looks pretty decent the way it is. May just leave it as is. Pics tomorrow.

This is a comp of the aqua bracelet with the PCLs and the new blue with the brushed center links and the folding clasp from the aqua now installed on the blue. Lighting conditions make it a challenge to photograph the difference with a phone. Ultimately, I am indifferent to PCL vs BCL - I like them both equally and think both/either work on this watch. Now almost 24hrs into owning the blue that is hands down my favorite of the two.

I am sticking with aqua after black, but the blue is pretty, too.

I'm surprised IWC released the blue. It's to 'samey' to the Aqua IMO.

I would like to see the aqua with the brushed centre links. Just sayin....

Not so much, to me anyway. The aqua has a good green presence about it and the new blue has a brighter/lighter hint of blue is certain light angles. They are not really that close.

I get what you’re saying, and agree to a point. The aqua just has the little something more about it IMO. The blue is just a hair, meh!

The black by contrast is understated and class!

IWC has missed a trick bringing out another iteration and is somewhat guilty of watering down the range and allure. Now, if they’d have focused their attention on manufacturing an in-house movement. I think they’d have something incredibly special on their hands.

I’m not trying to jump on the bandwagon. To give context and balance to my point, I very nearly bought one of these recently and opted to hold fire. I still love the design, the heritage, and provenance behind the Genta classic - but Richemont hit the post on this occasion.

Do one thing and do well, I say.

Just my 2p worth FWIW.

Sold my Air King 116900 to make room for the IWC Aqua. The world didn't end. I like the IWC so much more.

If I could get the black dial, with the aqua PCL bracelet and micro adjust attachment, I’d be a buyer.

Brushed bracelet makes the watch too basic.
