When I had an office in the City of London in 83-87, this (below) was a common site.

It had been inspired by Gianni Agnelli (pictured), playboy, Chairman of Fiat and THE style icon of the 70s.

For the avoidance of doubt, no I didn't......

I was visiting a jewelry shop in the 1990s in Cleveland Ohio and the owners were wearing those shirts and promoting them. I was talking to the owner about a watch and he asked me what I thought. Then as now, no comment!!!

Last year, at a good restaurant here in Austin, Tx, I saw a woman wearing a TT Datejust on the outside of her sweater....pointed it out to the wife...at least we all knew she was wearing a Rolex!!
