Rolex and Tudor - Interesting quartz anthology.
I found this a few days back while researching anthology of Tudor and Rolex integrated quartz pieces.
The first article is Rolex Quartz and second Tudor Quartz. It strongly suggests (and I concur), that the Tudor 91** with its 65 degree rehaut / two part dial (with a Feb 1974 earliest B and P watch), was a precursor for the Rolex mass market quartz launch that employed this set up also.* https://goldammer.me/blogs/articles/...datejust-guide https://goldammer.me/blogs/articles/...tz-inspiration * Notwithstanding the CEH (Centre Electronique Horloger) collaboration with Rolex of PHENOMENALLY expensive and totally sold out 'Texano' in 1970.... and the auto mvt deployed in that 2 piece dial/squarish case/integrated bracelet style for a short timeframe.

Forgot to put up the two seldomly seen 1974-80 Prince-Quartz OYSTERDATES, as they are not shown in the article.
The first is the very rare 9140/0 with a full height engine turned bezel (a.k.a ‘volcano’), and the second is the 9130/0 with a radial brushed bezel (à la, Rolex 1655 bezel finish) and engine turned on the top.

Thanks for those links. Seems like good information about the OQ and related pieces can be hard to come by. And those Tudors are very nice.

Thanks everyone. Just thought I'd pop up some info on the Rolex Texano too.
This came about as part of the late 60'S Neuchatel 'BETA 21' Project, where many of the big watch companies IWC, PP, Rolex etc, threw their hat into the ring on this project. Great background to maison contributors, size of pieces, and human ear sonics below: https://goldammer.me/blogs/articles/...-history-guide As part of the project, as stated in the link Rolex produced in a very limited edition the 5100, and to guarantee the exclusivity of this masterpiece: only 1000 pieces! All 1000 models were sold in pre-sale, even before production began! These characteristics prompted the public to give it a nickname to represent its opulence and brazenness. "To afford such a watch and flaunt its tractability, one certainly has to be a Texas oil billionaire!" must have been the thought of those who first nicknamed this Rolex "The Texan." The maison decided to offer buyers of the world's most luxurious watch membership in the most exclusive of clubs: the "Rolex Quartz Club." Created specifically for the occasion, membership was automatic upon purchase of a Quartz ref.5100. For the very lucky few, the Club guaranteed unlimited entry to the Geneva headquarters with a private tour and signature in the Rolex Gold RegisterRolex. Heady days indeed, a year after the tech-infused Moon Landing had got everyone very much in a future-facing-frenzy! The Yellow gold version (below) of which 900 made. White gold even rarer at just 100.

And finally, as not all 9130/40 Quartz Integrales sold were silver, though most (c75%) were, a 9130/0 blue sunburst and also my well-worn 9130/1 champagne dial.
